伽利略計畫G. Galileo Program
- 2020-2021, Taipei, Taiwan
A durational experimental co-creation happening/project (with presentations of results) that sparks to explore theater’s new
possibilities, functions, meanings, new relationships with audiences, and new forms of social imaginaries.
Year: 2020 Nov.- 2021 May (ongoing in the present time, I only marked the time I participated through locality reason)
Description:
The experimental project started with a group of senior practitioners that wanted to explore more the possibilities of theater and its functions through performance research, exchanging of knowledges between participants, implementations of scientific knowledges through creative research, creating a new relationship between performer and audiences, as well to highlight the connection between theater/performance and life.
The particular stage of the project I participated opened with an aim to collectively translate the script “Life of Galileo” by Bertolt Brecht from German to languages locally used in Taiwan through discussions of cultural and historical differences, linguistical differences, research of scientific knowledges, performances, character and performance research, connecting creation of theater to the regional and local history and aspects of life.
New social imageries were created through hosting flee market, shared meals, games, and new spontaneous gatherings in different forms
Creating as part of living: where we create, research and gather at the same place where presentations take place.
The histories of local areas was also an important part of this project.
