Way Back Home-

A documentary theater essay on belonging

- 2022, Bern

In THE WAY BACK HOME, a group of seven artists from different parts of the world (Russia, Taiwan, Ukraine, Germany, India,Switzerland, Latvia) form a temporary community to reflect on belonging. Using personal archive material (family photos, letters, messages and fragments of their virtual lives), the individual members not only tell us the history of photography from the time of portraits made in studios to the era of Kill-Fies, but also reconstruct it.

- as archivists the present - beyond that, their own biographies (and the breaks therein)
- with the aim of finding the place they call home again.
